A Review of The Looking Glass Wars

The Looking Glass Wars

The Looking Glass Wars is about a girl named Alyss Heart, Crown princess of Wonderland . At the age of seven, her evil aunt Red kills her parents, and attempts to kill her, but fails. Alyss then falls through the looking glass of tears, followed by her bodyguard the Hatter Madigan. Alyss then ends up in an 18th century Orphanage and she is adopted by the Liddle family. She tells her tale to family friend Charles Dogdson (Lewis Carroll). Charles Dogdson then distorts her story to be childish nonsense. Through all this her loyal body guard searches for his charge.
Alyss is bit of a weak character next to her bodyguard, the knife wielding Hatter. If you enjoy singing flowers and robotic card soldiers, then you may enjoy this book. I grabbed this book because of the beautiful illustration on the cover. It's decent, but not my type of book. I guess I have finally learned, don't judge a book by its cover.

i personally loved this book, and if anyone out there liked it too, then they should get the second in the series, seeing redd. in seeing redd, the malicous ex-ruler redd, returns, and together with borderland, attacks wonder land. glass eyes rampage, and card soldiers and black imagination followers kill.
